  The answer to the last Poll....10th Dans wear Red Belts, they don't have to wear it all the time, they can wear a Black Belt if they wish, also; it is considered disrespectful to throw a 10th Dan so if you ever get the chance to practice with one - don't throw him as all the 9th Dans will want to practice with you next!                                          Only 40% of you got this one right.

 

We will be starting our new Judo times from March 2nd:

Juniors : 4pm to 5:30

Juniors : 5:30 to 7pm

Seniors 7pm to 9pm.

 The Hunter Valley Open Judo Competition will be on Saturday 20th March.

The program will include:

  • Novice program (yellow belts and white belts IF approved by club coach as having adequate ukemi) including warm ups, games, stretches and randori - as a stepping stone to comp
  • Main Tournament
  • Demonstration Event - all clubs are encouraged to nominate between 2   and 12 people as a demo team. Winner to take home a large perpetual  trophy
  • Regional Teams Event
  • A Referee clinic as preparation for class C referee licence
       Kata clinic
 We are planning to go to Lismore with Taylors Arm Judo Club for an Inter Club Practice Session on Saturday 8th May.....more information to be posted soon.
  NSW Country Championship will be held in Newcastle on 14th November 2010.

Our Ko-Mon (Purple belt) syllabus has started. A new section will soon be included in this websites.....
